Large pair of ormolu-mounted cobalt blue-ground sevres-style porcelain vases and cover, painted with part of the "Vulcan presenting Venus with arms for Aeneas" after the painting of François Boucher, circa 1757, with landscapes to the reverse, miniature surrounded with richly gilt scrollwork cartouche with musical trophy, the shoulder flanked by upright ormolu acanthus-scroll handles suspending rings, with a large bottleneck form ornamented with foliate scrolls and musical trophy, surmounted by a domed lid enriched with gilt foliate pattern, and terminates with ormolu pinecone finial, raised on a gilt scrolls and musical trophy ornamented conforming socle and engraved ormolu circular footed base.
